Manager

One of my neighbors smashed into an old car of mine, ruining it. The only thing the apartment manager was concerned about was how little time they would give me to repair it. It takes a long time to find parts for old cars. Meantime they threatened me with towing it. They have no consideration at all and will stop at just about nothing to get what they want at the tenant's expense. We had roaches here for well over a year. and the management wouldn't do anything about it. I had to call the city about the problem. They are mean and nasty people. About a year or so ago they tore down satellite dishes in all the apartments. They force everyone to get renter's insurance because they had a fire a few years ago and now they want to have somebody to sue if they have another fire. police officers are frequently called here on a routine basis. my apartment was broken into and the thief got a digital camera. Another tenant in the same building as mine is a drug dealer. Lots of people go to his apartment and leave a few minutes later. But never the same people. They have lots of vandalism here. graffiti and people tearing up apartments. The secretaries in the office are surly if you aren't a member of their ethnic group. The secretaries like to threaten you if the postal service doesn't notify you about leaving a parcel. The secretaries will send your mail back to the post office, even though it isn't your fault that nobody told you about leaving a parcel with them. They will break into your apartment if there is something the city says they have to fix. I work nights and they broke into my apartment when I was asleep scaring me half to death. They want to be able to break into your apartment at any time. I had different locks put on my door and they forced me to give them a key. I had different locks put on my door because I have been broken into before and don't want that to happen again. To keep them from entering my apartment, I have to put up signs stating that I am sleeping during the day or they will come right in and wake me up out of a sound sleep. Most of my neighbors look like they just got out of prison. In fact a police officer came to pick up my neighbor from upstairs. I have repeatedly reported them to the better business bureau, but they can't do anything about them, apparently. All they do is pass on complaints. I have reported them to the Houston Apartment Association and again they won't do anything about them. One attorney called me regarding them threatening to tow my old car that my neighbor smashed to bits. He told me that Texas is a landlord friendly state and that judges almost always take the apartment owner's side on all issues. That was an attorney with the Consumer Complaint Center. So it appears that nobody can touch them because the owners are powerful, lobbying types that get what they want with Texas Law behind them because the owners are powerful and the tenants are just annoying insects for them to squash.
