A separate part of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas retains some of the older feel of the desert Southwest. While it is attached to Las Vegas the houses here are older and the large Hispanic community gives the area a different atmosphere than its glitzier and more cosmopolitan neighbor Las Vegas. While there are no professional sports teams in the area, the minor league baseball team is a popular draw, as is the speedway which comes alive when the Nascar circuit is in town each spring. North Las Vegas has been a victim of the housing crash which means that apartments can be found at very reasonable rates and without much competition. Expect to pay around $1300 for a 1500 sq foot 2-3 bedroom house or around $900 for a 1/2 bedroom apartment. Search thousands of North Las Vegas apartment reviews and ratings at DoNotRent.com.
